Let be A(xA, yA) a point in y = -2x + 6 , and B (xB yB) for y = -2x - 4
so D= sqrt( ( xA-xB)²  + (yA-yB)²)
let A (0,6) and B(1. -6)
so the distance is D = sqrt (1+144)=12.04

If you are planning to climb more than 7000 feet above sea level,<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=w%3D%28%5Cfrac%7Ba-7000%7D%7B
rusak2 [61]

Replace w with 10 and solve for a:

10 = (a-7000/2000 + 2)

Subtract 2 from both sides:

8 = a-7000 /2000

Multiply both sides by 2000:

16,000 = a-7000

Add 7000 to both sides:

a = 23,000

You can climb 23,000 feet

The explanation is replacing w with the number of weeks ( 10) and solving for a. You can then check by replacing a with the solution and solving for w.

What is the answer to
20.25 x 6
Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

The answer is 121.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiple 6 by the 20 first so you get 120

Then multiply 6 by the .25 and you get 1.5

So just add 120 with 1.5 and you get 121.50

Simplify the expression 9xy + 6xy − 2xy. What is the coefficient of the simplified expression?
Art [367]
Hi there!

To find our answer we need to collect the terms of the expression.

9xy + 6xy - 2xy = \\ 15xy - 2xy = \\ 13xy

The coefficient (which is the number just before the variable) of the simplified expression is 13.

What is the equation of the line in slope-intercept form?
Anestetic [448]

Answer:

The equation of the line in slope-intercept form is:

y = -1/6x + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope-intercept form of the line equation

y = mx+b

where

  • m is the slope
  • b is the y-intercept

Given the points on the line graph

  • (0, 4)
  • (6, 3)

Determining the slope between (0, 4) and (6, 3)

  • (x₁, y₁) = (0, 4)
  • (x₂, y₂) = (6, 3)

Using the formula

Slope = m =  [y₂ - y₁] /  [x₂ - x₁]

                 =  [3 - 4] / [6 - 0]

                 = -1 / 6

Thus, the slope of the line = m = -1/6

We know that the value of the y-intercept can be determined by setting x = 0 and determining the corresponding value of y.

From the graph, it is clear

at x = 0, y = 4

Thus, the y-intercept b = 4

now substituting b = 4 and m = -1/6 in the slope-intercept form

y = mx + b

y = -1/6x + 4

Therefore, the equation of the line in slope-intercept form is:

y = -1/6x + 4
