The only difference is that generic medicines are cheaper because they don't have the original pharmaceutical brand name on them so you are paying for the drug not the drug and the name that comes along with it. There is nothing wrong with generic medicines. The coating of the tablet might differ or the dosages but essentially it is the same medication.
