1) risks : antibiotic resistance is a risk along with unintended potential of our genes being messed with. benefit: reduced pathogens and potentially healthier foods, more viable harvest with higher yields with means more income and less loss. 


2) more uneducated and anti-science movement in the US. More keyboard warriors on blogs with misinformation. 


3) no. the underlining anti-science needs to be dealt with. better products are being formed.

Genetically modifying food can lead to things like Cancer, Diabetes, and other diseases. EU has banned it for the most part because of it's unhealthy nature, and tendency to cause problems in the body. They aren't "frankenstein foods", just foods that have been modified to help production and efficiency.
