Answer: The body produces too little or no insulin and blood sugar remains high.

Explanation:

Insulin is an important hormone which is responsible for regulation of levels of glucose in the bloodstream. The insulin is produced by the beta cells which are the specialized cells in the pancreas.

The people with type 1 diabetes produces very low or no insulin. This condition may be caused when the beta cells are destroyed by the antibodies. Hence, the cells are unable to produce insulin.

As a result of secretion of low or no insulin in the body the glucose level in the blood increases considerably.

jeka57 [31]

Answer:

No

Explanation:

She is incorrect in saying that she will not get breast cancer with 100% certainty. Although, since her BRCA1 and BRCA2 alleles were found to have no mutations signalling breast cancer, this means that there might be a very small chance that she could still develop breast cancer.

Even though it is highly unlikely that she will develop breast cancer, there is still a very small chance that it can occur.
