The answer is:

PH = - ㏒ [HClO4]

mole HClO4 = 0.1 L * 0.18 m = 0.018 M

mol LiOH = 0.1 L * 0.27 m = 0.027 M

total volume = 0.1L + 0.1L = 0.2L

HClO4] = (0.018-0.0081) /0.2 L

= -1.26 billion

PH = -㏒ -1.26

= 0.1003

So, the pH of the solution after adding 100 ml of liquid is 0.1003.

Further Explanation

pH (Power of Hydrogen) is the degree of acidity used to express the acidity or basicity of a solution. It is defined as the dissolved hydrogen ions (H +) activity algorithm. The hydrogen ion activity coefficient cannot be measured experimentally, so its value is based on theoretical calculations. The pH scale is not an absolute scale. It is relative to a set of standard solutions whose pH is determined based on an international agreement. The concept of pH was first introduced by Danish chemist Søren Peder Lauritz Sørensen in 1909. It is not known with certainty the meaning of the abbreviation "p" in "pH". Some references indicate that p is derived from the abbreviation for power (rank), others refer to the German word Potenz (which also means rank), and some are referring to the word potential. Jens Norby published a scientific paper in 2000 which argued that p is a constant meaning "negative logarithm".

Definition of Acid-base Reaction if in Chemistry which is a Chemical Reaction involving Reagents (Substances or Chemical Compounds). Acid reagents used can be either weak acids or strong acids, Likewise, the base reagents used are weak bases or strong bases.

Examples of Acid-base Reactions

1. The acid-base reaction between acid and base

In Neutralization Solution there has been an event between Strong Acid and Strong Base which can produce an ion reaction equation and with the Molecular Equation of the Neutralization Reaction (Acid & Base Reaction) Between the Acid-Base and the Base will usually produce Water & Salt.

ACID + BASE → SALT + WATER

2. Reaction Between Acid Oxides and Bases

In chemistry, Acid oxides are Non-Metallic Oxides which, when dissolved in water, form acids and then release H + ions. This reaction between acidic and basic oxides will form both salt and water.

ACID OXID + BASA → SALT + WATER

3. Reactions Between Acids and Alkaline Oxides

In Chemistry, a basic Oxide is a Metal Oxide which, when dissolved in water, forms a Base and releases H-ions. The reaction between acid and base oxide will form salt and water as below:

ACID + BASIC OXIDES → SALT + WATER

4. The acid-base reaction between acid and ammonia

In Chemistry Anomia which is a Weak Base which when dissolved into Water will form NH4OH & Reaction Between Acid and Ammonia And this anomia will produce Ammonium Salt with Reactions like the following:

ACID + NH3 → AMMONIUM SALT

(I think you have a mistake in your question as the addition is 30mL, not 100mL)
when PH = - ㏒[H+]
and here we have HClO4 is the strong acid
So PH = - ㏒[HClO4]

moles of HClO4 = 0.1 L *0.18 m = 0.018 M
moles of LiOH = 0.03 L * 0.27 m = 0.0081 M
when the total volume = 0.1L + 0.03L =  0.13 L
∴ [HClO4] = (0.018-0.0081)/0.13 L
                 = 0.076 M
PH = -㏒ 0.076
      = 1.12

Why is it important for science to keep testing a hypothesis even after they’ve found it to be true?
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Repeated tests help determine whether the hypothesis is always true in different circumstances. Repeatedly testing a hypothesis qualifies it to be accepted as a theory.

Linoleic acid is a polyunsaturated fatty acid found, in ester form, in many fats and oils. Its doubly allylic hydrogens are part
nikitadnepr [17]

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

The information presented in the question above regarding linoleic acid is true. Linoleic acid is, in fact, found in many oils and fats in the ester form. In addition, linoleic acid is considered a polyunsaturated fatty acid, due to the presence of two unsaturations in its composition. Its chemical formula is CH3-(CH2)4-CH=CH-CH2-CH=CH-(CH2)7COOH and it is an essential fatty acid for the human body, as it is essential in the composition of arachidonic acid that is responsible for building muscle, managing body fat thermogenesis, and regulating core protein synthesis.

2
Humans reproduce by cell division.
True
False
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

Single-celled organisms use cell division as their method of reproduction. Humans are not single celled, we are multicellular, therefore this conclusion is incorrect.

Hope this helps :)
