A hospital records transporter is moving medical records from the hospital to an off-site building. During the transport, a char
t falls from the box on to the street. It is discovered when the transporter arrives at the off-site building and the number of charts is not correct. What type of violation is this?
Breach can be defined as an act a person does or carried out which lead to the person breaking or violating the law or agreement .
Therefore the company record transporter has committed breach of contract for failing to abide by the company rules and regulations or agreement because when the chart falls from the box on to the street it was discovered that the number of charts was not correct meaning the number of chart he took from the company did not correspond with the ones that fell to an off site building hence, the transporter has invade the privacy of those that owns the record.
This act simply means the company record transporter has violated the BREACH OF CONTRACT between him and his employer.
