A hospital records transporter is moving medical records from the hospital to an off-site building. During the transport, a char
t falls from the box on to the street. It is discovered when the transporter arrives at the off-site building and the number of charts is not correct. What type of violation is this?
Breach can be defined as an act a person does or carried out which lead to the person breaking or violating the law or agreement .
Therefore the company record transporter has committed breach of contract for failing to abide by the company rules and regulations or agreement because when the chart falls from the box on to the street it was discovered that the number of charts was not correct meaning the number of chart he took from the company did not correspond with the ones that fell to an off site building hence, the transporter has invade the privacy of those that owns the record.
This act simply means the company record transporter has violated the BREACH OF CONTRACT between him and his employer.
A breach occurs when a patient's private health information is knowingly or unknowingly given out without the consent of the patient. A breach is valid except on court orders or special requests by government health officials.
The doctor-patient confidentiality is such a serious one that, it even outlives a patient. If a patient dies, the patient's medical records is still protected by the doctor-patient confidentiality.
If a patient's medical information is given out without due consent, the patient is in a position to sue for invasion of privacy because the breach is protected by state law.
I would particularly worry, the cracks you feel are probably groves from a crack but have most likely healed. If you were dead right know then you'd know you'd have been in serious trouble. I'd still recommend seeing and informing your PCP.
A caregiver should always make sure that a child area is always clean. Its very important to do so, if not a child could get sick, stick some trash in their mouth and get sick etc. Clean every day.
