What are the 5 main ways of assessing water quality?
marta [7]

Antidegradation, designated uses, and water quality criteria make up the three parts of water quality standards. The level of water quality required to sustain a certain designated use is represented by water quality criteria.

A probe that can record data at a single moment in time or logged at regular intervals over a long period of time can be used to assess water quality. Water samples can also be taken for laboratory examination. Information on water quality is used by the Department of Water to support decisions regarding the management of water resources. Certain toxins in our water might cause health concerns, such as neurological diseases, reproductive troubles, and gastrointestinal illnesses. People with low immune systems, infants, young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and pregnant women may be particularly susceptible to sickness. A measure of the acceptability of water for a specific application based on chosen physical, chemical, and biological qualities is known as water quality. One of the most crucial indicators of the water quality in streams, rivers, and lakes is dissolved oxygen, or DO. It is an important indicator of water pollution [10]. The greater the water quality, the higher the dissolved oxygen concentration. Oxygen is particularly temperature-sensitive and only mildly soluble in water. Numerous elements, including precipitation, climate, soil type, vegetation, geology, flow conditions, ground water, and human activities, have an impact on water quality. The point sources from businesses and municipalities pose the most risk to the quality of the water. The main causes of water pollution are bacteria, viruses, parasites, insecticides, pharmaceuticals, plastics, feces, radioactive materials, fertilizers, and pesticides. These compounds are frequently invisible contaminants since they do not always alter the colour of the water.

How is Canada culturally diverse? (3 points)
Bess [88]

Answer:

Canada's demagraphoc or diversity is a composition that is ethnically heterogeneous, while in the sense that all of Canada's citizens have basically come from many countries or even a orgin and cultural backgrounds. For example on way to depict cultural diversity in Canada is to describe the diversity in Canada in terms if the population size of even those that are not belonging to the charter groups.

Canada is a multicultural society whose ethnocultural make-up has been shaped over time by immigrants and their descendents. Each new wave of immigration has added to the nation's ethnic and cultural composition. Over time, patterns of immigration have shifted. Historically, most immigrants came from Europe.

how big is the sun on a 1 to 10 billion scale? How big is the earth in the same scale? Covert answers to cm. Assume Sun’s radius
galben [10]

Answer:

sun is bigger than earth is  13.9 cm

Explanation:

given data

radius of sun = 700,000 km

radius of earth = 6500 km

to find out

how big is the sun

solution

we know here

scale 1 to 10 billion is

scale = \frac{1}{10*10^9}

so here

we know that scaled diameter = actual diameter × scale   .................1

so for earth

scaled diameter of earth = 2 × 6500   × \frac{1}{10*10^9}

scaled diameter of earth = 1.3 × 10^{-6}

and

scaled diameter of sun = 2 × 700,000  × \frac{1}{10*10^9}

scaled diameter of sun =  1.4 × 10^{-4}

so

sun is bigger than earth is 1.4 × 10^{-4}  - 1.3 × 10^{-6}

sun is bigger than earth is 0.000139 = 13.9 cm
