Answer:

The correct answer is option D, that is, friction.

Explanation:

In the surface of the ocean, the water gets affected by the winds, which blows in the specific patterns due to the spinning of the Earth at distinct angles. The wind currents possess the tendency enough to affect the motion of the surface layer of the water and the water tides. Thus, it can be said that the friction between the ocean and the wind on its surface results in surface currents.

Juliette [100K]

Answer:

B. Row x describes meiosis and row y describes mitosis

Explanation:

 • Mitosis is the process in which a cell divides to yield two daughter cells with same number of chromosomes as the parent cell. The process takes place in the somatic cells or the body cells. For example, a cell with 14 chromosomes divides to produce two cells with 14 chromosomes.
 • Meiosis on the other hand is the process in which a cell divides into four daughter cells that have half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell. The process takes place in the germ line cells where gametes are produced. For example a cell undergoes meiotic division to produce four cells each with 7 chromosomes.

In regard to blood circulation, if you begin with oxygen-poor blood that reaches the heart from the body and is pumped through a
andrew-mc [135]

The cycle runs like this:

Deoxygenated blood enters from the body to the heart via the superior/inferior vena cava. It goes directly to the right atrium and down to the right ventricle. From there it'll pass through the pulmonary artery into the lungs where diffusion will happen in the capillaries. Gas exchanges will occur and the blood will become oxygenated and return to the heart via the pulmonary vein. From the pulmonary vein it will enter back into the left atrium and then will give the final pump of oxygen rich blood into the aorta and then into the entire body.
