Answer:

Explanation:

slope formula is (y^2-y^1) / (x^2-x^1)

so you take two points on the line, for example, x=2 and x=0

input the x-values

y = 12(2)+8

y=32

y=12(0)+8

y=8

You are left with two coordinates: (2, 32) (and 0,8)

subtract

(8-32) / (0-2)

you end up with -24/-2

divide, and you get 12

the slope is 12

OR look at the equation and the number in front of the x value is the slope, that works too

What did President Gerald Ford do that was so controversial early in his administration?
exis [7]

The answer is he pardoned the former American President Richard Nixon for any crimes he may have committed in office.

In 1972, President Richard Nixon was accused of being involved in the Water Scandal and was in trouble with American justice. Two years later, he decided to resign and Gerald Ford automatically assumed the presidency. Ford immediately used his power to issue the Proclamation 4311 and pardon Nixon for any crimes he may have committed while President. He justified his decision before Congress alleging that the pardon was in the best interests of the country because a drawn-out trial would only polarize the public even more.

This decision of him was highly controversial and harshly criticized by many Americans that wanted to see Nixon brought to justice.
