Elizabeth Cady Stanton along with Lucretia Mott organized the first Women's Rights Convention within the United States. At this convention, the Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions was presented. It stated that,"All men and women are created equal" as to the Declaration of Independence which says, "All men are created equal." Stanton began the Women's Rights Movement.
