Well first you would add 9x to each side so u would have 9x = 18. Then divide each side by 9 so u have x = 2. Then you would graph that so u would have a line going straight across the 2 x value so actually, I don't think there is a y intercept, but that means the x intercept is 2

Depend if you have learned negatives then you should be able to subtract 18 from 4, which is -18 and then divide by 9 which will get u -2.

0-18= -18
-18/9= -2

In step one, you are supposed to add 25 to both sides, because if you just subtract, it would be -5x-50=53

Please write an equation
Katen [24]

Answer:

y = \frac{3}{4} x + 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Calculate m using the slope formula

m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (0, 2) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (4, 5) ← 2 points on the line

m = \frac{5-2}{4-0} = \frac{3}{4}

The line crosses the y- axis at (0, 2 ) ⇒ c = 2

y = \frac{3}{4} x + 2 ← equation of line
