The contribution of Nicolaus Copernicus is that he way famously known for establishing the heliocentric nature of the Solar System. Galileo Galilei contributed to the fields of physics, mathematics, and philosophy just to name a few, but his major contribution was he invented and improved on the telescope. Isaac Newton developed the principles of modern physics known as Newtons law.  Robert Boyle was a philosopher that contributed to experimental chemistry and is well known for his gas law named Boyles law.
