Answer:

The problem is about cases of diabetes in old people through months.

The variable is descrete , because it doesn't admit decimal numbers, it represents people, and people are whole numbers.

The frequency table would be

Months People

January 24

February 30

March 20

April 18

May 28

June 12

The total number of people is 132.

The mean would be the total number of people divided by the six months.

\mu = \frac{132}{6} =22

Therefore, the mean is 22 people per month.

Remember that the median is the value at the center of the data set, which is between March and April, so

\frac{20+18}{2}=19

Therefore, the mean is 19.

The third statistical value is determined by the major frequency. So, the data that repeats the most is February, which means that month encloses the majority of people.

9 Find the sum of (x + 5), (-4x – 2), and (2x – 1).
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer: -x + 2

Step-by-step explanation:

So I assume that the question would be set up like this if you are finding the sum of all 3 terms:

(x + 5) + (-4x - 2) + (2x - 1)

1) Take out parentheses

x + 5 - 4x - 2 + 2x - 1

2) Add like terms

For the x terms:

x - 4x = -3x

-3x + 2x = -x

For the other terms:

5 - 2 = 3

3 - 1 = 2

The sum of the terms is -x + 2

You get a common denomiator so which is 18. So mulitply 8/9 by 2 which is 16/18 and multiply 5/6 by 3 which is 15/18 and add 16/18 and 15/18 together and you get.....35/18 and you divide. 35 divided by 18 is 1 13/18
