Answer:

Scale factor of the larger to the smaller = 12/5 or 12:5

Step-by-step explanation:

Scale factor is the ratio of the corresponding sides of a similar solid. Two solid object are similar if they are the same and the corresponding linear measure are proportional.

When two solids are similar the ratio of the area is the square of the scale factor. The cylinders are definitely similar . The surface area are given as 144m² and 25m² . The scale factor can be calculated as follows.

If the scale factor is a/b , the ratio of the surface area will be (a/b)². Therefore,

(a/b)² = 144/25

square root both sides

a/b = √144/√25

a/b = 12/5

Scale factor of the larger to the smaller = 12/5 or 12:5

How can I find the volume of a cone 9 radius and 18 height
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

V = 486\pi, or approx. 1,526.814

Step-by-step explanation:

V = \pi*r²*(h/3)

plug in the numbers: V = \pi * (9)² * (18/3)

simplify: V = \pi * 81 * 6

simplify: V = 486\pi, or approx. 1,526.814

I need help on this and a few more i have been busy lately
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

ok so we have to make it so we can get rid of one of the varibles by adding or subtracting

so lets multiply the first one by 4

120x+16y=4160

minus the second one so

108x=2160

divide by 108

x=20

then we just plug in

12(20)+16y=2000

240+16y=2000

-240

16y=1760

divide by 16

y=110

(20,110)

Hope This Helps!!!
