In order to answer this question we have to find all the 4 measure, Mean, Median, Mode and Range of both data sets.

1) For the Rocks of Isabella:

Mean = (Sum of all numbers)/Total numbers
So, Mean weight of Isabella's Rocks = 7.64

Median is the central value.
So, Median weight of Isabella's Rocks = 6

Mode is the most frequently occurring value.
So, Mode weight of Isabella's Rocks = 8.75

Range = Maximum - Minimum
So, Range weight of Isabella's rocks = 13.75

2) For Mateo's Rocks:

Mean = 8
Median = 6
Mode = 8
Range = 14.75

From the above data, we can see that the Range of Mateo's Rocks is more as compared to the Isabella's Rocks.

Thus, Range can be used be used to support the claim that Mateo’s rocks generally weigh more than Isabella’s rocks.

So option D is the correct option

Please help!!<br> I need it quick!!!
sladkih [1.3K]

Answer:

-13 \frac{13}{25}

Step-by-step explanation:

To multiply fractions with both the fraction and whole number you must convert it to an improper fraction by multiplying the whole numbers by the denominators, which you would get 35 for the first fraction and -10 for the second, then you must add the numerators to that number and put the number into the numerator spot. at this point you should have \frac{39}{7} and \frac{-12}{5}.

Now, multiply the numerators by the numerators and the denominators by the denominator and keep it aligned so the products stay in fraction form. now you should have \frac{-468}{35} .

Divide the numerator by the denominator to get the whole number, in this problem that comes out to 13. The remainder of this division becomes the new numerator which in this case would also be 13 and the denominator stays the same so now you have -13\frac{13}{35} which is the answer

Hope i helped!

What is the total area of the shaded triangles?
frozen [14]
Check the picture below.

\bf \textit{area of an equilateral triangle}\\\\&#10;A=\cfrac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{4}~~&#10;\begin{cases}&#10;s=length~of\\&#10;\qquad a~side\\&#10;------\\&#10;s=\frac{s}{3}&#10;\end{cases}\implies A=\cfrac{\left( \frac{s}{3} \right)^2\sqrt{3}}{4}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;A=\cfrac{\frac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{3^2}}{4}\implies A=\cfrac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{4\cdot 3^2}\implies A=\cfrac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{36}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\textit{and since there are 3 triangles shaded with that area}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\textit{shaded area}\implies 3\left( \cfrac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{36} \right)\implies \cfrac{s^2\sqrt{3}}{12}
