ZanzabumX [31]
The two words Bradbury uses repeatedly in this scene are "The beetle". The repetition adds to the suspense of the scene. Each time "the beetle" is repeated the reader can feel the car getting closer and closer. What details does Cofer provide about her desire to fly
Ber [7]

On her essay "Volar" Cofer recounts her interest for comic books and super heroes during her childhood. She used to have recurring dreams of herself being a superhero that was able to fly. Her desire to fly was also related to her economic situation as a child where her mother first wished she could fly due to the expensive costs of traveling on vacation.

ivanzaharov [21]
Some mood words that describe this passage are: cold, suspenseful, lonely, nighttime. The mood word 'cold' describes this passage because it's mentioned that there are chilly gusts of wind. 'suspenseful' fits because there is a sense of suspense building in the lack of people in the streets. 'Lonely' is a mood word that works because suddenly there are no people around, except for the narrator. And 'nightttime' is an appropriate mood word for this passage because it mentions that the time is 10 o'clock at night.
