This test checks alertness and motor speed in a 2-choice reaction time test where stimulus and the response uncertainty are done by having two possible stimuli and two possible responses. The administration time of the test is seven minutes and the outcome is determined by correct or incorrect responses, latency and errors of commission and omission.
Responding to both multiple stimuli and response possibilities have been shown to be affected by blood alcohol concentration of as low as .04. This is called choice or complex reaction time.
