There is an easy way to find y intercept. I can tell you how and show you the answer

1 {Y Intercept = 3 } [ This is where the line crosses the line going from up to down in the middle. ]

{slope = 2/1 } To find the slope you find a place where the slanted line is perfectly on the graph.:

You then go up. { GO UP FIRST! that will be the number on top. Stop when you notice the slanted line to the right is exactly on the graph. So what i did is started at (-1, 1) Then went up twice. I saw that to the right of me was the slanted line which was exactly on the graph. So I went up twice [2] then went right once [1]

To find your equation you just put y= [ y intercept form ] and your numbers you found.
y=2/1x + 3
Make sure you have x after your slope so you know it is always going up, no matter what number you put inside.

IF YOU WANT ME TO DO THEM ALL COMMENT. I WILL DO THEM ALL WITHOUT EXPLANATION.

** NOTE ** If the line is decreasing from the left. “\”it is negative so the slope will me - you will do that for your next question

37. The sum of first three terms in an arithmetic progression is 24 and the sum of their squares is 224. Find the first three te
Airida [17]

Answer:

12, 8, and 4

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Given

a + d + a + a - d = 24

3a = 24   ⇒  [ a = 8 ]

and (a + d)² + a² + (a - d)² = 224

3a² + 2d² = 224

2d² = 224 - 192 = 32

d² = 16

[ d = ±4 ]

∴ The first three terms to A.P are

a + d = 8 + 4 = 12

a  -  = 8

a - d = 8 - 4 = 4

∴ Three terms are 12 , 8, and 4
