Old Tanko is regarded as the teller of good tales. Everyone in the village, men, women and children enjoyed his stories. Whenever he came visiting, news of his arrival would always spread through the Liberian village and in the faraway country.

His arrival always had the people of the Liberian village running to the Palaver house to listen to his good tales and the lessons they have in them.
