Complete Question

A 30 cmcm wrench is used to loosen a bolt with a force applied 0.30m from the bolt. It takes 60 N to loosen the bolt when the force is applied perpendicular to the wrench. How much force would it take if the force was applied at a 30 degree angle from perpendicular?

Answer:

The force required is  F_{\theta }  =    69.28 \ N

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The length of the wrench is L  =  30 cm =  \frac{30}{100} =  0.3 \ m

    The distance from the bolt is  d = 0.30 m

      The force it takes to loosen the bolt is F = 60 N

       The angle of application is \theta = 30 ^o

Generally the torque required to loosen the bolt is

       \tau =  F * d

        \tau =  60 * 0.3

        \tau =  18 Nm

Now for the bolt to be loosen at \theta the torque at 90° must be the same as that at \theta

So the torque at  \theta is mathematically represented as

          \tau   =  F_{\theta }d  cos \theta

substituting values

           18 =  F_{\theta } * 0.3  cos (30)

           F_{\theta }  =    \frac{18}{0.3  cos (30)}

           F_{\theta }  =    69.28 \ N

One kilowatt-hour (kWh) is the amount of work or energy generated when one kilowatt of power is supplied for a time of one hour.
Helga [31]

Answer:

The energy in one kilowatt-hour is 36\times10^{5}\ J

Explanation:

Given that,

Power = 1 kW

Time = 1 hour

One kilowatt-hour (kWh) is the amount of work or energy generated when one kilowatt of power is supplied for a time of one hour

We need to calculate the energy

Using formula of energy

E=p\times t

Where, P = power

t = time

Put the value into the formula

E=1\times10^{3}\times3600

E=36\times10^{5}\ J

Hence, The energy in one kilowatt-hour is 36\times10^{5}\ J

A sports car has an average acceleration of 5.81 m/s2. How long does it take for the car to reach 60.0 mi/h, if it starts from r
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

  4.617 s

Explanation:

The speed of 60 mi/h can be converted to m/s:

  (60 mi/h) × (1609.344 m/mi) × (1 h)/(3600 s) = 26.8244 m/s

The relationship between speed and acceleration is ...

  v = at

  t = v/a = (26.8244 m/s)/(5.81 m/s²) ≈ 4.617 s

It will take the car 4.617 seconds to reach 60 mi/h starting from rest.

A sealed 26-m3 tank is filled with 6000 moles of oxygen gas (O2) at an initial temperature of 270 K. The gas is heated to a fina
TiliK225 [7]

Answer:

The final pressure of oxygen gas is 8.33 atm.

Explanation:

From the given data

V=26 m^3 or 26000 L

T1=270K

T2=440K

n1=6000 moles

R=0.0821 L.atm/molK

Now from the ideal gas equation

P_2V_2=nRT_2\\P_2=\frac{nRT_2}{V_2}\\P_2=\frac{6000*0.0821*440}{26000}\\\\P_2=8.33 atm\\

As the options given are not defined in which unit thus the final pressure of oxygen gas is 8.33 atm.
