Answer:

y = -8

Explanation:

For two lines to be parallel, they need to have the same slope

Since we need a line parallel to y = 9, y = 9 has a slope of zero

We can use the point-slope formula y = y₁ = m(x - x₁) to help us find the other line

Our (x₁, y₁) point in this case is (3, -8) and we already know our slope m is zero

So plugging in our values to the formula gives us y - (-8) = 0(x - 3) → distributing the negative to the -8 and distributing the zero gives us y + 8 = 0 → then subtracting 8 from both sides give y = -8

Because you're handsome, Helen Grey,

Is that a reason to be proud?

Your eyes are bold, your laugh is loud,

Your steps go mincing on their way;

But so you miss that modest charm

Which is the surest charm of all:

Take heed, you yet may trip and fall,

And no man care to stretch his arm.

What we have learned from magellan voyage around thr world
Semenov [28]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

What we have learned from Magellan voyage around the world is that Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese sailor that sailed the seas in many occasions and discovered important geographical features such as the Magellan Strait, the passage to the Pacific Ocean from the Atlantic, at the bottom of South America. Indeed, he was the first navigator to cross the Pacific Ocean.

During his explorations, he also discovered a route to the Spice Islands.

So we can conclude that Magellan's explorations added new knowledge about planet Earth in that he demonstrated that sailors could navigate the entire globe and that the planet was different than what Mediaeval times people thought.
