Suzan sees a bag of marbles, she grabs a handful at random. She has seen a bag containing four red marbles, two green ones, four

white ones, and three purple ones. She grabs eight of them. Find the probability of the following event, expressing it as a fraction in lowest terms. HINT [See Example 1.] She does not have all the green ones.

In this question, Suzan is taking 8 marble from a bag containing 4 red marbles, 2 green ones, 4 white ones, and 3 purple ones. The total marble in the bag should be: 4+2+4+3= 13. The question is how much the probability to get <2  green marble. In this question, the red, white and purple are not specified so you can join them into "not-green group". It will be easier to find the probability of "have all the green one" which mean Suzan take 2 green marble and 6 not-green marble from 11 marble<span>

Ways to take 8 marble out of 12=12C5= 12!/4!8!= </span>495
Ways to take 2 green marble out of 2= 2C2= 1
Ways to take 6 not-green marble out of 11= 11C6= 11!/6!5!= 462

Probability to <span>have all the green ones= 1*462/495= 154/165
</span><span>Then the probability does not have all the green ones= 165/165 - 154/165= 11/165</span>

PLEASE HELP DUE SOON
shutvik [7]

Answer:

y < x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Determine the equation of the broken line in slope- intercept form

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Calculate m using the slope formula

m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 5, 0) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (0, 5)

m = \frac{5-0}{0+5} = \frac{5}{5} = 1

note the line crosses the y- axis at (0, 5) ⇒ c = 5

y = x + 5 ← equation of broken line

Thus y < x + 5 is the inequality for the graph

Find the circumference in terms of pic if the diameter is 2.5
otez555 [7]

Answer

C=2.5\pi

Step-by-step explanation:

Radius is always half of the diameter so, \frac{2.5}{2} \\ is equal to 1.25.

The Formula for Circumference is C=2\pi r

Since we found out the radius, we need to basically substitute (or insert) it into the radius spot so the next step will be: C=2\pi (1.25)

Then we multiply (2)(1.25) to get an answer of 2.5 (which we already know)

So our answer is going to be C=2.5\pi

Hope this helped and answers your question! Have a great rest of your day/night!
