A relation is what it sounds like. A relation between numbers and/or objects.
A function is just a special type of relationship. In order for a relation to be a function, it must have only one output for one input.
On a graph, the x-axis is the input and the y-axis is the output. If you draw a vertical line through a point on the x-axis and there is only one point on that vertical line, then it is a function.
The only graph that meets these criteria is the first graph.
? I’m confused is there supposed to be a picture to this? I don’t see a expression so..
The answer to your question is <span>B.-2/3</span>
X = -6y - 12
4x + 5y =-39
4x + 5y = -39
-4(-6y - 12) + 5y = -39
-4(-6y) + 4(12) + 5y = -39
24y + 48 + 5y = -39
29y + 48 = -39
29y = -87
y = -3
x = -6y - 12
x = -6(-3) - 12
x = 28 - 12
x = 6
(x, y) = (6, -3)
