Answer:

  The probability would be 50%.

Answer:

Your first flip has a 1/2 or 50% chance of getting tails. In order to get 2 tails in a row you have to get tails first and then again. The first flip is 1/2 and the second one is another 1/2. Combined you have a 1/4 chance of getting 2 tails in a row.

Each time you flip you have 1/2 a chance, but when you look at all the flips at once, each consecutive flip of the same side has a smaller probability.

Examine the equation.
Alisiya [41]

Explanation:

The reaction expression is given as;

                 2H₂_{g}   +  O₂_{g}   →   2H₂O_{l}

From the balance reaction expression:

 2 mole of hydrogen gas combines with 1 mole of oxygen gas on the reactant side;

This produces 2 mole of water on the product side of the expression.

The product is in liquid form.

 This reaction is a synthesis reaction because a single product is formed from two reactants.

43.56 grams of  are produced if 16g of  CH4 reacts with 64g of O2.

Explanation:

Balance equation for the reaction:

CH4 + 2O2⇒ CO2 +2H2O

Data given : mass of CH4 =16 grams  atomic mass = 16.04 grams/mole

                    mass of water 36 gram  atomic mass = 18 grams/moles

                   mass of CO2=?                atomic mass = 44.01 grams/mole

number of moles = \frac{mass}{atomic mass of one mole}    equation 1

number of moles in CH4

   n = \frac{16}{16.04}

       = 0.99 moles

Since combustion is done in presence of oxygen hence it is an excess reagent and methane is limiting reagent so production of CO2 depends on it.

From the equation

1 mole of CH4 gave 1 mole of CO2

O.99 moles of CH4 will give x moles of CO2

\frac{1}{1} = \frac{x}{0.99}

x = 0.99 moles of carbon dioxide

grams of CO2 = number of moles x atomic mass

                         = 0.99 x 44.01

                          = 43.56 grams of CO2 is produced.

A solution is prepared at that is initially in nitrous acid , a weak acid with , and in sodium nitrite . Calculate the pH of the
bija089 [108]

Answer:

4.07

Explanation:

There is some info missing. I think this is the original question.

<em>A solution is prepared at 25 °C that is initially 0.057 M in nitrous acid (HNO₂), a weak acid with Ka = 4.5 × 10⁻⁴, and 0.30 M in sodium nitrite (NaNO₂). Calculate the pH of the solution. Round your answer to 2 decimal places.</em>

<em />

Nitrous acid is a weak acid and nitrite (coming from sodium nitrite) is its  conjugate base. Together, the form a buffer system. We can calculate its pH using the Henderson-Hasselbach equation.

pH = pKa + log [base]/[acid]

pH = -log 4.5 × 10⁻⁴ + log 0.30/0.057

pH = 4.07
