I have to write a speech about my biggest pet peeve and I’m not sure how to begin with a hook. If you could help I’d appreciate

Answer:

I always like to begin that kind of a speech with some way to relate to the listeners. For example, if you're writing about how much it annoys you when your sister leaves her clothes on the floor, you might begin by asking "How many of you have siblings?" and then continue to add on to that. It makes your audience feel more like you're talking <em>to </em>them, and not so much <em>at </em>them.

This is a free response question right? I would suggest maybe watching some videos about this guy because my brother had the same question (he's in k12) and the videos should really help. its ok if you didn't read the book. Elie Wiesel is a surviver of the horrible holocaust that took place wiping out millions of Jews. He's said himself in some interviews that he believes staying silent isnt the right thing to do. just watch a few vids about him and you should be about to easily answer this question. Hope I helped:)
