First find slope
(7-5)/(3-5) = 2/-2 = -1
Slope intercept: y = mx + b
Y = -1x + b, plug in point
5 = -1(5) + b, b = 10
Equation: y = -1x + 10

Two villages are 14km apart in real life. How far apart would they be on A map scale with 1:25000
nydimaria [60]

Given:

Distance between two villages = 14 km

Map scale = 1:25000

To find:

The distance between the two villages on the map.

Solution:

Let the distance between the two villages on the map be x.

Map scale is 1:25000. So,

\dfrac{x}{14}=\dfrac{1}{25000}

x=\dfrac{1}{25000}\times 14

x=0.00056

Therefore, the two villages are 0.00056 km apart on map.

1. B forms a proportion, this is what I did, i simply 10/18 to 5/9 and i try to see if 5/9 is equivalent to 25/45 and it is. 5/9*5/5= 25/45

2. You multiply 27*4=108 then 108/12=9 so a=12

3. you multiply 16*21=336 then 336/12=28 so b=28

Hope this helps!

Given that cos(θ)= -√3/4 and tan(θ) > 0, find sin(θ)
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

B. -√13/4

Step-by-step explanation:

cos 0 = -√3/4 => x=-√3 , h=4

tan 0 > 0

y should be on quadrant III

y= √4²-3= √16-3=√13 => -√13

so, sin 0 = y/h = -√13/4

1. Suppose that a single card is selected from a standard 52-card deck. what is the probability that the card drawn is a club ?

From the total 52 card, there is 13 club card. There is no scenario that need to be considered in this problem. The probability to draw club would be:
the number of club cards/total number of cards = 13/52= 1/4= 25%

2. suppose that a single card is drawn from a standard 52-card deck, but it is told that the card is black. what is the probability that the card drawn is a club ?

In this scenario, the card is already known as black. Out of 52 cards, there is 26 black card. Out of 26 black cards, there are 13 clubs cards. The probability to draw club would be:

the number of club cards/total number of black cards= 13/26= 1/2= 50%
