so we must line up and simplify all the points to try and find a simliar ratio

so the ratio is 2/3

because if we simplify 8/12 and 16/24 they both come down to 2/3

so if we plug that in to find x we get x = 14

and then if we that in for y we get y = 39

now for the second question this is a pretty simple addiction subtraction kind of problem but here's some help

if the highest temperature was 93 and the lowest was -21 we just have to find how many degrees are in between those two

therefore leaving us with the answer

A. 114F degrees
