Answer: True.

Explanation:

Organic fats are nonpolar molecules, while water is a polar molecule.

Since fats do not have any polar part in its structure, to be dissolved in water they would have to break some of water's hydrogen bonds. But this does not happen, so the fat is forced to stay separate from the water. This means nonpolar molecules are repelled by water and do not dissolve in it. They are hydrophobic compounds. So the lipids just float in the water without blending into it.

What is the major function of asters of centrosome in a cell ?
Amiraneli [1.4K]
The answer is formation of spindle fibers.

Asters (Latin word for stars) of centrosomes are microtubules and are formed around centrosomes during mitosis. During prophase, asters and centrosomes move to the opposite sides of the cell. During metaphase, asters extend and connect to the centromere of chromosomes. During anaphase, those microtubules pull the chromatids apart to the centromeres on the opposite sides of the cell.

quizlet i]n the heart, valves are located in the heart, valves are located just between the ventricles and the arteries. just be
ser-zykov [4K]

In the heart, the valves are located between atria and ventricles and between ventricles and arteries (option D).

What are valves in the heart?

Valves are membranous partitions which permit the passage of the contents of a vessel or cavity in one direction, but stop or control the flow in the opposite direction.

Valves in the heart enforce a one-way blood flow through the heart and separate atria from ventricles, and ventricles from the large arteries that leave them.

The four valves in the heart and their location is as follows:

 1. tricuspid valve: located between the right atrium and the right ventricle
 2. pulmonary valve: located between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery
 3. mitral valve: located between the left atrium and the left ventricle
 4. aortic valve: located between the left ventricle and the aorta.

The valves between the atria and ventricles are called atrioventricular valves or cuspid valves while those at the bases of the large vessels leaving the ventricles are called semilunar valves.

Therefore, it can be said that the valves of the heart are located between atria and ventricles and between ventricles and arteries.
