Answer:

when u subtract fractions u have to make sure they have a common denominator so u can subtract evenly so say I have 2/5 - 4/6 i have to make a common  denominator of 30 so the 2/5 would turn to 12/30 and the 4/6 would be 20/30 then you do 20-12 to get 8/30 and with mixed fractions u do the same exept  multiply the denominator by the whole then add the neumorator to the number u just got and add them together and then subtract.

hope this helped :)

Yuri [45]

Answer: B or D

Step-by-step explanation:

Karens ration is 5:15 whilst chens is 6:19

1/3 of 15 is gonna be 5, while 19 is gonna be around 6.3

I got 1/3 cause there is 3 colors, and red is one of them, since the question is asking about the total. I would be leaning more towards B though.

Can someone solve this? i have a photo.
shepuryov [24]

Answer: (25,9)

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to write an equivalent equation for the first equation, you can multiply both sides by 15:

(15)(\frac{x}{5}+\frac{y}{3})=(8)(15)\\\\3x+5y=120

Then, you get this system of equations:

\left \{ {{3x+5y=120} \atop {x-2y=7}} \right.

Now, you can apply the Elimination Method to solve the system of equations:

1. Multiply the second equation byb -3.

2. Add the equations.

3. Solve for "y".

Then:

\left \{ {{3x+5y=120} \atop {-3x+6y=-21}} \right.\\.....................\\11y=99\\\\y=9

4. Substitute the value of "y" into any original equation and solve for "x" in order to find its value:

x-2(9)=7\\\\x=7+18\\\\x=25

5. The solution is:

(25,9)

(y+7) what does that equal
Roman55 [17]
You don’t know because y isn’t an actually number unless you know what it’s supposed to equal. For example, if y=18, y+7 would be 25 but since you don’t know what y is, it’s undefined.
