Answer:

The average speed is 30 mph.

Step-by-step explanation:

The rate of change of distance with time is speed.

i.e Speed = \frac{distance}{time}

Let his average speed be represented by s.

Given that she covers 300 miles with an average speed.

So that;

s = \frac{300}{t}

⇒ t = \frac{300}{s} .................. 1

Also, if her average speed has been 7 mph less, she could have traveled only 230 miles in the same length of time. This implies that;

(s - 7) = \frac{230}{t}

⇒ t = \frac{230}{(s-7)} ............... 2

Thus equating 1 and 2, we have;

\frac{300}{s} = \frac{230}{(s-7)}

230s = 300s - 2100

collecting like terms,

2100 = 300s - 230s

2100 = 70s

divide both sides by 70,

s = \frac{2100}{70}

 = 30 mph

The average speed is 30 mph.

butalik [34]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The vertical line test, can be done with a pencil, and it's very simple. You run the object in a vertical position, horizontally across the graph, and if it hits two points on the same Y-Axis, your function is actually a relation, since functions are not allowed to have two coordinates on the same line.

Answer: y - 9 = 2(x - 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

Point slope form: y - y1 = m(x - x1)

substitute 5 for x1 and 9 for y1 and 2 for m

x1 = 5

y1 = 9

m = 2

you get y - 9 = 2(x - 5)

Tricia is going to write Patterns A, B, and C using the rule add 15. The first
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

The answer is "Pattern B showed number 40; each pattern is also increased as per the rule".

Step-by-step explanation:

In every sequence pattern, it recalls that rule, it adds 15 in this need to build from the specified initial estimate each sequence.

In Pattern A.

5+20+35+50+......

In Pattern B.

10+25+40+55+70+.....

In Pattern C.

15+30+45+60....

In this, pattern option B is correct because it will give 40.
