angle 1 = 180-110 = 70 degrees (linnear pair)

angle 2= 180-115 = 65 degrees (linnear pair)

angle 3 = angle 2 = 65 degrees (corresponding angles)

angle 4= 180 - angle 3 = 180-65 = 115 degrees (linnear pair)

(your teacher might not like this, depends on the cituation, but use 180 degrees in triangle to get 7)

angle 7 = 180 -angle1 -angle 2= 180-70-65= 45 degrees

angle 6 = angle 7 = 45 degrees ( vertical angles)

angle 8= 180- angle 7= 180-45 = 135 ( linnear pair)

angle 9 =angle 6 = 45 degrees (corresponding angles)

angle 5=angle 9=45 degrees (vertical angles)

Farrah's goal is to use 281 gallons of water or less per day at her business. Her water bill showed that 4,497 gallons were used
stiv31 [10]
Yes she meet ed her goal because if you do 4,497(total gallons)/281 (the gallons she wanted to use) you get 16.

Answer:

Surface Area: 155.98 yd²

Volume = 145.02 yd³

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok this might take a while to explain lol. First, to find the surface area of a composite 3D figure, add the areas of each geometric figure making up the composite 3D figure.

So first, we do the area of the triangle:

Equation: height base/2 which is 3 • 5/2 = 7.5

Next, the area of the rectangular prism:

Equation: 2(width • length + height • length + height • width)

Which is, 2·(2.8 · 8 + 4.8 · 8 + 4.8 · 2.8) = 148.48

The next step is to add the areas of the 3D figures together, so

7.5 + 148.48 = 155.98 (Surface area = 155.98 yd²)

Next, we do the volume:

To find the volume of a composite 3D figure, draw any necessary planes to view the figure as basic three dimensional figures, then: add basic figure volumes belonging to the composite shape.

I don't think it's necessary to re-draw anything, so just look at the figures as 3-dimensional shapes and find the volume the normal way.

Equation: 0.5 • base • height • length = 0.5 • 3 • 5 • 5

0.5 • 3 • 5 • 5 = 37.5 (Volume = 37.5)

Then finally, we do the volume of the rectangular prism:

Equation: width • height • length =2.8 · 4.8 · 8

2.8 • 4.8 • 8 = 107.52 (Volume = 107.52)

Finally, add the two volumes together and you are all done :)

37.5 + 107.52 = 145.02 (Volume = 145.02 yd³)
