The Herman Antitrust Act was a bill created by Senator John Sherman and approved by President Benjamin Harrison. Its objective was to allow all companies in the market to have competitive equality, and large companies did not monopolize the entire market leaving smaller companies without opportunity.
However, certain ambiguities made it difficult to determine when a company was considered to be unfair competition, and when it grew legitimately.
