The trait of “freckles” is dominant and represented by A. No freckles is recessive and represented by a. A researcher crossed tw

o individuals, one homozygous dominant and the other heterozygous for freckles. Based on the data in the Punnett square, the researcher concluded that all offspring would have dominant as well as the recessive alleles. What comment would you make about his conclusion? A) He is correct. Fifty percent of the offspring are heterozygous dominant. B) He is correct. The dominant allele for the trait is preset in all the offspring. C) He is incorrect. The homozygous dominant individual cannot provide a recessive allele. D) He is correct. Both parents contribute at least one dominant allele to their offspring.

Based on the Punnett square I've just created from the two individuals' phenotypes for freckles, all possible offspring phenotypes would have freckles, as all possible genotypes for offspring contain the dominant allele. The possible genotypes are 50 percent homozygous dominant and 50 percent heterzygous. The researcher claims that all possible offspring would have dominant and recessive alleles; he is wrong. While all possible offspring phenotypes do have the dominant allele, only 50 percent has the recessive allele.

Answer:
C) He is incorrect. The homozygous dominant individual cannot provide a recessive allele.

A____is a musculoskeleteal injury in which there is a partiral or temporay seperation of the bone ends as well as partial tretdh
Reptile [31]

Dislocations is a musculoskeletal injury in which there is a partial or temporary separation of the bone ends as well as partial tearing of the supporting ligaments .

4 types of musculoskeletal injuries includes repetitive strain injuries (RSIs), repetitive motion injuries, cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs), work-related upper limb disorders (WRULDs).

Most common type of musculoskeletal injury is Muscle Strains, back pain, and arthritis . Muscle strains can happen due to improper technique of lifting heavy objects, lifting too much weight at one time, and repetitive movements. The key symptoms of a muscle strain are sudden pain that worsens while contracting the muscle, swelling and bruising, loss of strength and range of motion. People often report the sensation of pain as the feeling of being "stabbed." When muscle is initially injured, significant inflammation and swelling occurs.

How is enthalpy used to predict whether a reaction is endothermic or exothermic?
Radda [10]

Answer:

329.48 KJ/mol heat is released by the combustion of 2 molof methane

Explanation:

The value of enthalpy determines whether the reaction is exothermic or endothermic. If the enthalpy change is positive, then the reaction is endothermic (heat or energy released) and if the enthalpy change is negative then the reaction is exothermic (heat or energy absorbed).

2CH_4(g)+4O_2(g) => 2CO_2(g)+4H_2O(g)

\Delta H \ reaction=[ 2(\Delta HfCO_2)+ 4(\Delta HfH_2O)]-[2(\Delta HfCH_4)+4(\Delta HfO_2)]

                            =2 ( -(393.5 KJ)/mol)-[2( -74.6 KJ/mol)+4(-241.82 KJ/mol)]

                            = -787 KJ/mol-[ -149.2 KJ/mol-967.28 KJ/mol]

                           = -787 KJ/mol+1116.48 KJ/mol

                                          =329.48 KJ/mol

In this question, the enthalpy of formation has positive value and hence the reaction is endothermic in which the heat is released.

Yanni made a chart to compare the strong and weak forces. Which best describes Yanni’s error? Only the weak force is active in t
cluponka [151]

Answer: Option (d) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Nucleus of an atom consists of protons and neutrons. Protons are positively charged and neutrons have no charge. So, due to the like charges of protons there occurs electrostatic force of repulsion inside the nucleus of the atom.

But due to similar number of neutrons and protons a force that is able to bind both of them together is known as strong nuclear binding energy.

This force is strong enough that it is able to overcome electrostatic force of repulsion. But when there is great difference in the number of protons and neutrons then binding force is not strong enough.

Hence, the atom becomes unstable and undergoes radioactive decay. So, this means weak forces are responsible for radioactive decay.

Thus, we can conclude that the statement which best describes Yanni’s error is that the strong force is responsible for radioactive decay.
