rmance evaluations are outstanding. Milton, one of the vice presidents at Jackson has been very friendly to Janice and has served as her mentor. He has also been occasionally asking her to go out with him for the past 2 years. She has declined and Milton recently suggested that she could be an area supervisor if he became her advocate with the management team. One time, while at a company party, Milton indicated he would be willing to do so if they began dating. Janice does not agree to the relationship. She is eventually promoted to area supervisor based on her own merit. Does Janice have a claim against Milton for sexual harassment? Which of the following statements is correct?

Answer:a. No, Janice has no basis for a harassment case because she was promoted.

Explanation:

Janice got promoted based on her own great performance in her work because eventhoug Milton suggested that if they could date he will advocate for her to management team but she refused and got promoted on her merit so she was not coerced to do anything sexually wrong so that she can be promoted.

Is the woman who flashes her crotch at a bar evaluated in the same way as a man who flashes his crotch at a bar? Do we have the
alex41 [277]

Answer:

Social Assumptions

Explanation:

A woman who shows herself at the bar is sometimes perceived differently than a man that does the same thing. The interpretation of what it means as a man and a woman to perform the same behaviour in society is overwhelmingly different. Unfortunately, gender bias and gender roles separate male and female allowances.

So, a woman and a man doing the same thing at a bar is perceived differently.

The perception of a man and woman dressed  similarly is viewed differently

These are not examples of exhibitionism but the individuals are dressed the way they want and feel comfortable.

Gender bias exists because this behaviour has been introduced and been allowed to perpetuate in society for generations upon generations.

This is continued because society allows it to continue by perpetuating this "norm".

Since women are held at a different standard than men, a man's sexual promiscuity is not viewed the same as a woman's sexual freedom.

Women are most likely to be stigmatized in these cases, unfortunately and in time this may change.

alexandr402 [8]

If a moral theory suggests that our moral judgments cannot be rationally supported, it is thereby inconsistent with our moral experience.

Explanation:

Moral theories are formed based on repeated observations and hypothetical situations are being researched and finally a morally ethical judgement or behavior is justified.

Scientific theories are based on scientific observations whereas moral theories take into consideration a hypothetical situation and a list of moral behavior are decoded which might be the result of undergoing a good logical and critical thinking test. A moral theory is  an explanation of what makes an action right or what makes a person or thing good.
