Every Italian should rally round Victor Emanuel. Once more I repeat my battle-cry: "To arms, all of you!" We need all Italians to raise up their arms…liberty will be ours and the life of Italy will belong to us.
We are a great people and must work together to be great again…, our collaboration, our resolve, and our unity… will again make us a power to be feared.
I utter this word with deepest affection and from the very bottom of my heart. The hour of battle will find me with you again, by the side of the champions of Italian liberty.
