Answer:

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is narrowing of the arteries to your heart caused by a buildup of plaque. Plaque is made up of cholesterol and other substances. The narrowing in your arteries decreases the amount of blood that can flow to your heart. This causes your heart to get less oxygen. :)

The blood vessels that bring blood to your heart are the coronary arteries. The narrowing of or blockage of the coronary arteries is coronary artery disease. Normally, this disease is caused by atherosclerosis. The build-up of cholesterol and fatty deposits within the arteries is atherosclerosis. These plaques can clog the arteries or damage them, restricting the flow of blood to your heart. This is what causes Coronary Artery Disease.

Hope this helps, have a wonderful day!
