What is an equation of the line that passes through the points (3,-8) and (1, -2)? Put your answer in fully reduced form.
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

y = x ( - 3 ) + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Find what relationship x and y have. In this case, y is x multiplied by -3, plus 1.

(3,-8)   The number 3 is x and -8 is y. Use the rule above to see if it's correct. Like so: -8 = 3 ( - 3) + 1

             -8 = -9 + 1

             -8 = -8

The rule/equation is correct.
