Sven knows he has less than 6 months to live. He appears calm and seems most concerned about how to help his family deal with hi
sergejj [24]

Answer:

Acceptance

Explanation:

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross was a psychiatrist and a pioneer of the study of near-death experiences and the process of grief.

According to her, when one person receives the diagnosis of a mortal illness, they go to a process of grief. This process has 5 different stages:

 1. Denial: This is the first stage of grief. People in this stage thinks that the diagnosis is mistaken and deny that they have an illness.
 2. Anger: At some point, the person cannot keep denying the diagnosis anymore and they become angry and frustrated. They start asking questions like 'why did this happen to me?' and start looking for answers.
 3. Bargaining: After not finding answers, the person starts hoping that the cause of grief can be avoided somehow. They start trying to negotiate for an extended life in exchange of a new lifestyle. Most people will want to negotiate with God.
 4. Depression: The negotiation is unsuccessful and the person starts recognizing their mortality. He/she might become silent, sad or mournful
 5. Acceptance: After going through the other 4 stages, the person embraces mortality, they achieve a calm, retrospective view of their own life and feel more stable emotions and start saying their goodbyes and feel at peace.

In this example, Sven knows hat he has less than 6 months to live, he appears calm and in peace, disconnecting himself from people, thus, we can say that he has embraced his mortality and he is in the Acceptance stage of dying.
