Hello. You forgot to show the answer options. The options are:

A. She has given in to a forlorn impulse and taken on a more negative perspective.

B. It is twilight in the city, so the quality of light and air have changed.

C. Carrie's outlook has become more positive since she got a job.

D. People are happy because the workday has ended.

Answer:

C. Carrie's outlook has become more positive since she got a job.

Explanation:

After the carrie job was secured, the atmosphere was different, lighter and more positive. This is because the certainty of having a job removed many worries from Carrie's mind, allowing her to have more positive thoughts, which were externalized and made the atmosphere look better, more pleasant and comfortable.

Hello. You did not show line 4 to which the question refers, which makes it impossible for the question to be answered accurately, but I will try to help you in the best possible way.

The definition "Showing great intelligence" will be the correct one if line 4 presents a text referring to smartness, academic quality and wisdom.

The definition "Full of light" is correct if line 4 has a text on clarity, lighting and brightness.

The definition "Excellent or superior in performance" will be correct if line 4 presents a text about something or someone who has a great capacity to complete activities in an amazing way.

"I feel that Auden's poem creations a more powerful and emotional response in the reader becuase, I feel, you can describe a subject better or deeper with words than with a painting. I think it takes a little bit of skill to completely understand what the author is feeling when viewing a piece of artwork. The initial understanding I got from the painting was that people are unaware of other's suffering because they are too involved in everyday life, but Auden's poem digs deep into the subject that people are unaware of other peoples suffering when it is indeed going on."
