30×30=900
900/112.5=8 cameras to cover

112.5×4=450
900-450=450 ft left uncovered

Answer: There are 8 cameras will be necessary to cover the entire store.

The area is left uncovered = 450\ feet^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The dimensions of store = 30 feet by 30 feet

That means store roof is in square shape, which has all its sides equal.

The area of the store roof =30\times30=900\ feet^2

The area which can be viewed by camera = 112.5\ ft^2

The number of cameras  necessary to cover the entire store

=\frac{\text{Area of store roof}}{\text{Area viewed by each camera}}=\frac{900}{112.5}=8

If he places cameras only in the corners of the store, the area is covered

=4\times112.5=450\ feet^2

Then, The area remains uncovered=900-450=450\ feet^2

Answer: Option D

t_{max} =19\ s

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that the projectile height as a function of time is given by the quadratic equation

h = -12t ^ 2 + 456t

To find the maximum height of the projectile we must find the maximum value of the quadratic function.

By definition the maximum value of a quadratic equation of the form

at ^ 2 + bt + c is located on the vertex of the parabola:

t_{max}= -\frac{b}{2a}

Where a

In this case the equation is: h = -12t ^ 2 + 456t

Then

a=-12\\b=456\\c=0

So:

t_{max} = -\frac{456}{2*(-12)}

t_{max} =19\ s

What fraction of the figure below is shaded?
jarptica [38.1K]
We know that there are 11 sections that could be filled, one of which is.
So, one out of 11 of the sections is shaded... Now, all you would need to do is create a fraction to demonstrate that.
\frac{1}{11}

\frac{1}{11} of the figure is shaded.

I hope this helps!

Two six-sided number cubes are rolled. Each number cube has sides numbered 1 through 6. What is the probability that the outcome
kvasek [131]
This is the concept of probability and statistics. Given that the cube has 6 sides, the probability space will be:
x={1,2,3,4,5,6,}
P(x)=1/6
When the two dice are tossed, the combination that will give us a sum that is multiple of 6 will be:
{1,2},{2,1},{1,1}
probability of obtaining this combination is:
(1/6*1/6)+(1/6*1/6)+(1/6*1/6)
=1/12
The combination that will give us a sum that is multiple of 4 is:
{1,1},{2,2}
Probability of obtaining this is:
(1/6*1/6)+(1/6*1/6)
=1/18
the probability that the sum will be a multiple of 6 or 4 will be:
1/12+1/18
=5/36
