This theory suggests  that eukaryotic cells were products of prokaryotic cells that engulfed each other reapeadtly over time, until the two cells combined and underwent evolution. Then they weren't recognized as prokaryotic anymore due to differing features and construction of the cells.

The history of the child’s parents probably have some brown eyes which caused the child to have brown eyes. But usually the parent does express a dominant trait like the child.
