I’m not positive but last year I got this card and it’s a guide for these types of triangles. Since you’re missing the long leg but you have the short leg you have to do 22 square root 3 in order to find the long leg. That gives you 38.1051177665 so I would say none of the choices

What is the circumference of the circle? Show steps please!
Marina CMI [18]

Area = r^2 x PI

to find r take the square root of the area:

r = √100 = 10

The circumference of a circle is the diameter times PI.

The diameter is 2 times r = 2 x 10 = 20

The circumference = 20PI m

The answer is C.

Anyone know the answer to this algebra problem?
ikadub [295]

Answer:  \bold{a=1\qquad b=\dfrac{1}{16}\qquad c=\dfrac{1}{64}\qquad d=1\qquad e=\dfrac{4}{9}\qquad f=\dfrac{16}{81}}

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

\begin{array}{c|l}\underline{\quad x\quad}&\underline{\quad 4^{-x}\qquad \qquad}\\-1&4^{-(-1)}=4^1=4\\\\0&4^{-(0)}=4^0=1\\\\2&4^{-(2)}=\dfrac{1}{4^2}=\dfrac{1}{16}\\\\4&4^{-(4)}=\dfrac{1}{4^4}=\dfrac{1}{64}\end{array}

\begin{array}{c|l}\underline{\quad \bigg x \quad}&\underline{\quad \bigg(\dfrac{2}{3}\bigg)^x\qquad \qquad}\\\\-1&\bigg(\dfrac{2}{3}\bigg)^{-1}=\dfrac{3}{2}\\\\0&\bigg(\dfrac{2}{3}\bigg)^{0}=1\\\\2&\bigg(\dfrac{2}{3}\bigg)^{2}=\dfrac{2^2}{3^2}=\dfrac{4}{9}\\\\4&\bigg(\dfrac{2}{3}\bigg)^{4}=\dfrac{2^4}{3^4}=\dfrac{16}{81}\end{array}

Marie is cleaning her clothes out of the closet in her spare bedroom. She started with 650 of her items in the closet. She has b
Lemur [1.5K]

Wording is everything. Here, there are some issues. "... at the rate of 1/2 per month" can be interpreted to mean that at the end of the first month, there are 649 1/2 items in Marie's closet (decreased  by 1/2 from 650).

"The number of items Dustin adds" could mean 5 items, the number he adds each month. The wording should specify the time period or whether we're talking about the total number Dustin has added.

We assume your description means that the number of items in Marie's closet at the end of each month is 1/2 what it was at the beginning. (As opposed to decreasing by 1/2 item each month.) We assume we're interested in the total number of items of Dustin's that are in the closet.

Marie's quantity can be modeled by ...

... m = 650·(1/2)^t . . . . . t = time in months

Dustin's quantity can be modeled by ...

... d = 5t

There will be one solution for d=m, at about t = 4.8. At that point, Dustin will have added about 24 items, which will be the number Marie is down to.

There is a viable solution for d=m at about t = 4.8.
