The length of the leach is 16.05 ft and the area of the mainsail is 64.94 ft²

What is application of law of sines?

The law of sines refers to the ratio of side length of triangle to the sine of the opposite angle which is same for all the sides.

SinA / a = SinB/ b = SinC/c

where, the A,B,C are the angles of the triangle and a,b,c are the opposite sides of the angle of triangle.

The mainsail foot is 13 feet long, the luff is 10 feet long has the length of the leach 6.93 ft and the area of the mainsail is 64.85 .

Part A; By using the law of sines;

SinA /10 = SinB / 13

SinA /10 = Sin54 / 13

A = 38.49°

C = 180 - (54 + 38.49)

C = 87.51°

So, Sin38.49 / a = Sin54/ b = Sin87.51/c

Sin38.49 / 10 = Sin54/ 13 = Sin87.51/c

c = Sin87.51 × 13 ÷ Sin54

c = 16.05 ft

Part B; Area of the mainsail = 1/2 × ab SinC

Area = 1/2 × 10 × 13 × Sin87.51

Area = 64.94 ft

Therefore, the length of the leach is 16.05 ft and the area of the mainsail is 64.94 ft²

A hungry elf ate 10 of your muffins. That was 5/8 of all of them! With how many did you start?
Tomtit [17]

The elf ate 5/8 of the 10 muffins you had to figure out how many were eaten,

1. you have to multiply 5/8 by 10

5/8 · 10 = 6.25

2. now to figure out how many are left, subtract 6.25 from 10

10 - 6.25 = 3.75

Based on the following equation. what is the radius of this circle?
(x-3)+(y+2)^2=4
Jobisdone [24]

Answer:

r = 2 units

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle in standard form is

(x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²

where (h, k) are the coordinates of the centre and r is the radius

(x - 3)² + (y + 2)² = 4 ← is in standard form

with r² = 4 ⇒ r = \sqrt{4} = 2
