Answer:

the x-axis is the middle horizontal line

the y-axis in the middle vertical line

the origin is (0,0) or where the x and y-axis cross

in the upper left quadrant the x-axis is negative and the y-axis is positive.

in the upper right quadrant the x-axis is positive and so is the y.

in the lower left quadrant both the x and y-axis is negative.

in the lower right quadrant the x-axis is positive and the y-axis is negative.

Answer:

Slant height (s)= 12.1 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Base= 4.5 cm.

           Surface area of right square pyramid= 129.5 cm.

First, calculating slant height (s) of right square pyramid.

Surface area of square pyramid= (a^{2} +2\times a\times s)

a= side of square base.

s= slant height

∴ 129.5= (4.5^{2} + 2\times 4.5\times s)

⇒ 129.5= (20.25+2\times 4.5\times s)

⇒ 129.5= (20.25+9\times s)

Now, opening the parenthesis and subtracting both side by 20.25.

⇒ 109.25=9\times s

cross multiplying both side

∴ Slant height (s)= 12.1

How to find slope when there is the y intercept and x-intercept?
natta225 [31]
First graph your x and y intercept then pick any two points on the line.
\frac{rise}{run} = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}
that's the equation used to find your slope

Example:

(4,2) (8,6) let's say those are the points you pick from the line

so then you subtract 6-2=4 (6 is your y2 and 2 is your y1)

then subtracts 8-4=4 (8is your x2 and 4 is your x1)

then your left with
\frac{2}{4}
if you can reduce the reduce in this case you can which leaves you with
\frac{1}{2}
and that's how you find the slope

Solve for y<br> 4.2x - 1.4y = 2.1
Harlamova29_29 [7]
4.2x - 1.4y = 2.1    |multiply both sides by 10

42x - 14y = 21    |subtract 42x from both sides

-14y = 21 - 42x    |change signs

14y = 42x - 21    |divide both sides by 14

y = 3x - 1.5
