Compare and contrast positive and negative feedback loops of the endocrine system. Provide a specific example of each, including
Drupady [299]
Explanation: An example of positive feedback is milk production by a mother for her baby. A negative feedback loop is one way that the endocrine system tries to keep homeostasis (stability) in the body. If an endocrine gland senses that there is too much of one hormone in the body, it will initiate changes to decrease production of that hormone.

Explain the contribution of cholinergic system in controlling different levels of activities.
yarga [219]

Answer:

Cholinergic systems which are an organisation of nerve cells that uses acetylcholine in communicating nerve impulses are found everywhere in the human central nervous system.

It is speculated that they are crucial to learning, attention, memory, speaking and carrying out purposive movements. This is because of their high density in the thalamus, striatum, limbic system, and neocortex.

Cholinergic agents are biochemical compounds which produce the same effects as acetylcholine and/or butyrylcholine.

Studies show that the parasympathetic nervous system (which comprise of the rest and digest system and conserves energy decelerating the heart rate, accelerating intestinal and gland activity etc) uses acetylcholine to a great extent to communicate its messages and is said to be mostly cholinergic.

Cheers!

HSV-1 infections always occur above the waste.
a) True
b) False
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

Herpes 1 belongs to the Alphaherpesvirinae subfamily, this virus targets mucoepithelial cells and diseminate through intimate contact. Although generally HSV-1 infections occurs above the waste (encephalitis, keratoconjunctivitis, coriorentinitis, pharyngitis, esophagitis, tracheobronchitis and oral) there are other clinical manfiestations such as gladiatorium, genital herpes and warths that prove this statement false. Herpes 1 is not totally conclusive in the sense that the areas where it occurs do not comply with the definition given "above the waist". The epidemiological importance is able to determine where it is predominant.
