Answer:

Brownies made the most money

Step-by-step explanation:

Let c = cookies

b = brownies

We sold 51 items  so c+b = 51

Cookies are .75  and brownies are 1.25

.75c + 1.25 b = 53.25

We have 2 equations and 2 unknowns

c = 51-b

Substituting into the second equation

.75(51-b) + 1.25b = 53.25

Distribute

38.25-.75b +1.25b = 53.25

Combine like terms

38.25+.5b = 53.25

Subtract 38.25 from each side

38.25 +.5b -38.25 = 53.25 -38.25

.5b =15

Divide each side by .5

.5b/.5 = 15/.5

b = 30

Now find c

c =51-b

c = 51-30

c = 21

They sold 30 brownies and 21 cookies

30 brownies * 1.25 =37.50

21 cookies *.75 = 15.75

Brownies made the most money

Rodrigo and his cousin have 8 bags of marbles. Some of the bags contain 5 white marbles. The rest of the bags contain 7 pink mar
jeka94

Answer:

The cousins have 4 bags of white marbles and 4 bags of pink marbles.

Step-by-step explanation:

If x is the number of bags with white marbles and y is the number of bags with pink marbles, we can write the following system:

x + y = 8 -- Equation 1

5x + 7y = 48 -- Equation 2

5x + 5y = 40 -- Equation 3 (Multiply Equation 1 by 5)

2y = 8 -- (Subtract Equation 3 from 2)

y = 4 -- (Divide both sides by 2)

x + 4 = 8 -- (Substitute y = 4 into Equation 1)

x = 4 -- (Subtract 4 from both sides)

If RS=59 AND ST=10x-31,find x
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

RS is the length of segment RS, not the length of arc RS.

ST is the length of segment ST, not arc ST.

The arcs RS and ST have little marks in the picture. These marks indicate that the arcs are congruent. They have the same length. In a circle, or in congruent circles, congruent arcs are intercepted by congruent chords.

This means that segments RS and ST are congruent.

ST = RS

10x - 31 = 59

10x = 90

x = 9

Can someone explain how to do this?
tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

The answer to your question is: 40°

Step-by-step explanation:

First the Δ UXW = is a right triangle, then the ∠ UXW = 90°

The sum of the internal angles in a triangle equals 180°

∠UXM = 180° - ∠XUW - ∠UWX

∠UXM = 180° - 90 - 50

∠UXM = 40°
