Let's separate this shape into three parts. A smaller rectangle at the top, and one at the bottom, and a bigger rectangle in the middle.

The smaller rectangle at the top:

The equation to find the area of a rectangle is
(a = area, l = lenght, w = width)

a = l · w
Put in the values
a = 18 · 3
a = 54

Since the smaller rectangle at the bottom has the same length and width, it has the same area.

The bigger rectangle in the middle:

a = l · w
Put in the values
a = 8 · 9
a = 72

Now add all of the areas together to get the answer!

72 + 54 + 54 = 180

The answer is 180 :)

Hopefully this helps! If you have any more questions or don't understand, feel free to DM me, and I'll get back to you ASAP! :)

Suppose that a number written as a decimal has an infinite number of non-repeating digits after the decimal point. What is this
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

Irrational

Step-by-step explanation:

The number is called an irrational number.

These numbers have some distinct properties. The number of numbers after the decimal point is infinite. What this means is that it does not terminate. It keeps on repeating.

Also, these numbers cannot be represented as a ratio of two integers i.e two whole numbers. This is because they keep on going without termination.

Lastly is that these numbers do not repeat after decimal. What I mean by this is that they do not keep repeating a particular number after the decimal point. For example in cases like 2.33333; these are infinite too, but they can be represented by the ratio of two whole numbers and in such cases, they are not irrational in their own respect

What equation I should use for this problem
Mama L [17]
I'm not completely sure, but this should be exponential growth.
If so, the equation for exponential growth is: y = a(1 + r)^t
If I substitute them with the information you gave me, then is would look like this:
 y = 281.4(1 + 0.02)^t
**t = is the number of years after 2000 (based on your question)**
