If the angles on this diagram were labeled this would be a lot easier to describe, but here goes...
We need to find the angle they are calling “1”, at the bottom of the triangle on the far left of the diagram. In order to find that angle, we have to find the other 2 angles first.
The top left corner of the diagram is marked as a right angle (90 degrees) with a line dividing that angle. If one part is 36 degrees, the other is 54 (90-36=54).
Now look in the middle of the diagram where the 2 lines criss-cross. A straight line is 180 degrees...since we see that the one angle in the middle is 88 degrees, the other part of it must be 92 degrees (180-88=92).
You now know 2 of the 3 angles...54 and 92. All 3 angles of a triangle = 180 degrees so we can write this equation...
54 + 92 + (angle 1) = 180
So angle “1” = 34 degrees

If a < 0 and c > b, circle the expression that is greater:
matrenka [14]

Answer:

The expression that is greater is a (b - c)

Step-by-step explanation:

 • a < 0 and c > b, this means (by the addition property) that c - c > b - c⇒0 > b - c

so for the product a(b - c) we would have a multiplication of a negative number a and another negative number (b - c). We know that the result of the multiplication of two negative numbers is a positive number.

Therefore, a (b - c) > 0

 • a < 0 and c > b, this means by the addition property that c - b > b - b⇒ c - b > 0

so for a(c - b), we have the negative number a multiplied by the positive number (c - b). We know that the result of the multiplication of a negative number by a positive number is negative.

Therefore a (c - b) < 0

Thus, the expression that is greater is the positive one which is a (b - c)
