Answer:

The change in who Jonas is as a person is signaled by the changing and irregular landscape that he witnesses for the first time.  For the first time in his life, he sees a bird, waterfalls, and wildflowers.  These objects were unknown to him in his former community.

At this point, Jonas realizes that Elsewhere could be nearby, and he makes the decision to continue on his journey to discovery.

Explanation:

Lois Lowry's 1993 novel titled "The Giver" chronicles the life of a 12-year old boy named Jonas.   The story is set in an utopian society where Jonas and Gabriel thought things were perfect.  They lived in this idealism until they discovered that their society was actually dystopian, heavily marked by corporate, bureaucratic, technological, moral, or totalitarian control.  "The Giver" teaches us that life is incomplete without some experiences of the beautiful, the ugly, and the not-too beautiful.

what were the two governing ideas influenced by john locke did the colonists bring with them from England 1607?
allochka39001 [22]

I believe those ideas are: Natural rights and the right to own property.

Both of these ideas was brought from the enlightenment period where most society in Western Europe started to favor a government system where the citizens hold the majority of the power.

Natural rights is provided to protect the citizens ever since they are born and the government could not cross those rights under any circumstances. The right to own property was intended to give incentives to the private sectors so citizens could have control over the economy.
