One of the notable differences between civil law and criminal law is the punishment. In case of criminal law a person found guilty is punished by incarceration in a prison, a fine, or in some occasions death penalty. ... On the other hand, civil law is about private disputes between individuals or between an individual and an organization or between organizations. Civil law deals with the harm, loss, or injury to one party or the other.

Anna71 [15]

It was the first navigator to map the Antarctic shoreline.

He is considered one of the greatest captains of the English navy and one of the best explorers of the time of the great discoveries, initiated by Christopher Columbus.

Cook also visited New Zealand, where a group of fifteen islands still bears his name, and became the first person to chart their complete shoreline. In 1770 he visited New Guinea and claimed the east coast of Australia for England under the name of New South Wales.

On his first trip, Cook had explored more of this territory than anyone else.

Even economists who advocate small government agree that A. national defense is a public good, but many of them believe that it
olchik [2.2K]

B is likely the correct answer.

There are very few economists who advocate for the privatization of the military as the privatization of military has interesting efficiency and national security concerns. (Militaries in the hands of CEOs...)

Instead, many economists see the military as an example of the government providing for the protection of the collective common good and that it is most efficient and necessary for the government to provide this service.

marishachu [46]

Native American pottery is an art form with at least a 7500-year history in the Americas.[1] Pottery is fired ceramics with clay as a component. Ceramics are used for utilitarian cooking vessels, serving and storage vessels, pipes, funerary urns, censers, musical instruments, ceremonial items, masks, toys, sculptures, and a myriad of other art forms.

Due to their resilience, ceramics have been key to learning more about Precolumbian indigenous cultures.
